    Day 1 – Calgary to Banff – Your Canada Adventure Begins
    Welcome to Canada! Arriving in Calgary, pick up your car rental and take the short journey through the foothills of the Canadian Rockies to the small mountain town of Banff - the perfect launch pad for a variety of adventurous pursuits during the day and entertainment in the evenings.

    Day 2 – Enjoy Banff
    You have 3 options from which to choose today to help you enjoy Banff to its fullest:

    Soar above majestic peaks and get away from the crowds of Banff on a thrilling helicopter tour. Marvel at pristine and breathtaking vistas that will leave you speechless.

    Day 3 – Drive to Emerald Lake
    A short drive up Highway 1 takes you to Emerald Lake Lodge. Stop to visit the famous Lake Louise area as you explore at your leisure. The stunning Emerald Lake Lodge echoes with the voices of history as you follow in the footsteps of the guide Tom Wilson, who discovered this location more than 100 years ago. There are a variety of activities available at the hotel such as canoeing and biking.

    Insider tip: To make the most of your visit, ask us for our Lake Louise activity menu, from which you can choose activities such as a scenic canoe paddle, Lake Louise interpretive gondola ride, a guided hike or Afternoon Tea in the Fairview dining room.

    Day 4 – Explore the Icefields Parkway
    Travel along the spine of the Rockies, on what is surely one of the most beautiful roads in the world - the Icefields Parkway.

    There are
    3 options for exploring the Icefields Parkway today.

    • Option 1: Ice Walk Along the Athabasca Glacier
    Walk along the largest mass of ice in the Rocky Mountains - the Columbia Icefields. The most accessible part of the Icefields is the Athabasca Glacier - spreading six kilometers towards the Icefields Parkway. Join an experienced guide and small group of adventurers on a once-in-a-lifetime experience as you hike along the
    glacier – stand in awe of a place few people get to see firsthand.

    • Option 2: Icefields Helicopter Experience
    Step away from the crowds and take a helicopter tour abundant in natural beauty, glaciers, and waterfalls. Leave from an exclusive Icefields base and soar over Cline Pass and over Cline, Lion, and Lioness Glaciers. You’ll also view a spectacular 900 ft. waterfall flowing from two aqua green lakes!

    Day 5 – Emerald Lake to Revelstoke
    Enjoy a leisurely morning drive through Yoho National Park, past Golden, and along Rogers Pass on to Revelstoke located on the Columbia River and adjacent to stunning Glacier National Park. This small BC town will appeal to all levels of outdoor enthusiasts - enjoy stunning views of rugged mountains, crisp glaciers, lush forests, and raging waterfalls. Overnight in Revelstoke.

    Day 6 – Revelstoke to Kelowna
    Soon you’ll be driving through BC’s serene wine country, known for it’s rolling hills, arid landscape, and beautiful lakes.

    The town of Kelowna is an exciting hybrid of amazing food, wine, and culture. Located on the shores of Lake Okanagan, and is home to incredible vineyards, outstanding golf courses, scenic trails and plenty of water-based fun.

    Alternately, if you wish to stay somewhere a little more secluded, ask us about staying at the spectacular Predator Ridge Resort, just a 30 minute drive away from Kelowna.

    Day 7 – Explore Kelowna
    You have 3 options to choose from to ensure you enjoy Kelowna to its fullest today.

    • Option 1: Wine Tour
    Experience scenic rolling hills, tour vineyards, orchards, and panoramic lake views of Kelowna, and of course, sample unique wines along the way. Joining this tour will get you the VIP treatment at all the wineries you visit! The tour includes a picnic lunch consisting of fresh local produce, bread and spreads, charcuterie, and artisan cheese. Delicious!

    • Option 2: Bike and Tasting Tour
    On this tour, explore Myra Canyon – a Canadian National Historic Site built from 1912-14. Cycle along 18 old railway trestles and through 2 tunnels on this 20km tour. Tour also includes a stop at Hillside Estate Winery for a tasting and lunch on the lake in Penticton.

    • Option 3: Sailing Cruise on Lake Okanagan
    At Fresh Tracks Canada, we know all the different ways to enjoy an area, and it doesn’t have to mean sitting in a bus! Enjoy an experience of a lifetime on beautiful Lake Okanagan in a 26’ sailboat. History and wildlife abounds! A perfect way to sightsee, relax, and soak in scenery.

    Day 8 – Kelowna to Vancouver
    Enjoy a leisurely drive this morning through the stunning scenery along the Crowsnest Highway towards Vancouver. Entering the fertile farmlands of the Fraser Valley, lush meadows with cows grazing, weeping willows, and lazily flowing streams dot the landscape. Overnight in Vancouver.

    Day 9 – Vancouver
    Welcome to Vancouver, the home of Fresh Tracks Canada! You have 3 options to choose from to ensure you enjoy Vancouver to its fullest.

    • Option 1: Local Bike Tour
    You’re not one to travel along with the tourist crowd and prefer to slip into life like a local. This tour delivers exactly that – the bike is a Vancouverite’s preferred mode of transport! With an extensive cycle lane network this tour travels along well maintained bike paths. The tour highlights the best of Vancouver food, history, ecology and culture. Visit the Seawall and Stanley Park, eat lunch at Granville Island Public Market and see historic Gastown and Chinatown.

    • Option 2: Stanley Park Walking Tour
    An enriching cultural option for those interested in First Nations history. Stroll amongst massive cedar trees and learn how First Nations people utilized the flora as food, technology, and medicines.     • Option 3: Granville Island Food Tour
    Expertly weave through this busy public market. Skip the line at the best food shops, visit local artisans, and see local performers. (Trust us, you might want to take some of these tasty morsels home with you!)

    Day 10 – Vancouver to Victoria
    This morning, you will make your way to the ferry terminal and cross over to Vancouver Island. The two-hour crossing is an event itself as you pass through the Georgia Strait to Vancouver Island. Watch out for orcas and humpback whales – who might just make an appearance!

    Day 11 – Victoria
    You have 3 options to choose from to help you enjoy Victoria to its fullest today:

    • Option 1: Hike Gowlland Tod
    Explore this lesser known hiking trail with your guide – breathe in nature as you walk among grand fir and arbutus trees. Enjoy stunning views of Finlayson Arm, a beautiful fjord that cuts deep into Vancouver Island near Victoria. A snack, bottled water, and a photo of you in front of a spectacular backdrop are included in this experience.

    • Option 2: Victoria Harbour Urban Kayak Tour
    During this relaxing tour, you’ll get a chance to see the city up close – all from the comfort of a kayak. Follow your guide as they describe Victoria’s historic waterways that make up the downtown and working harbour. This is the only way to experience Victoria, a city built around the harbour front.

    The gardens began in 1904 as an effort to restore a worked-out quarry site and has since been delighting visitors from all around the world.     Day 12 – Depart Victoria or Continue on to Ucluelet
    If you choose the shorter version of this trip, you will depart Victoria today with fond memories made.

    For those venturing on, you’ll drive across Vancouver Island to Ucluelet, located on the western side of the island in Pacific Rim National Park. A small town tucked along the beaches of the wild and rugged Pacific, Ucluelet showcases all that its “big sister” Tofino has to offer, but in a smaller, quieter, and less busy setting. Indulge in delicious local cuisine, savour the awesome power of nature that surrounds you, and get lost in endless ocean views. Overnight in Ucluelet.

    Day 13 – Ucluelet
    Old-growth rainforest and the Pacifc Rim beckon to be explored today. You have 3 options to choose from to enjoy the Tofino/Ucluelet region to its fullest.

    • Option 1: Hot Springs Tour
    Venture out on the water today on this 6-hour tour to Maquinna Provincial Park at the remote north end of Clayoquot Sound. Enjoy marine wildlife stops on this outstanding coastal exploration program – observe whales, and occasionally black bears foraging on the shore!

    • Option 2: Whale Watching by Zodiac
    Enjoy this 3-hour boat ride out into Barkley Sound to view whales in their natural habitat. Humpbacks migrating from Hawaii up to Alaska are the predominant species here. You might even see a sea otter! Note: This tour is not suitable for persons with back or neck injuries or for pregnant women.

    • Option 3: Kayak, Whale Watching and Wildlife Tour
    Watch for whales and marine life along the Pacific Rim National Park. Kayak with your guide through quiet coves and discover the Broken Group Islands – a pristine and remote archipelago on the southwest end of Vancouver Island. Also included is lunch on a white sandy beach on the edge of the park.

    Day 14 – Ucluelet at Leisure
    Long, uninterrupted stretches of sandy beaches are the main attraction, as well as whale watching, natural hot springs, and year-round surfing. Ucluelet and Tofino, and the neighbouring communities to the north are part of the UNESCO designated Clayoquot Sound Biosphere Reserve, a protected area providing habitats for a vast array of species, a significant number of which are endangered or rare. A long-time haven for artists and artisans, Tofino is having a renaissance of sorts, with newfound international praise for its craft breweries, farm-to-table restaurants and the sheer beauty of the natural world that surrounds it.

    Day 15 - Ucluelet to Whistler
    Today, you will begin the scenic journey back to the mainland and the mountain town of Whistler. The Sea to Sky Highway is intensely scenic, and must-visit locations include Shannon Falls and Porteau Cove on your way to Whistler. Overnight in Whistler.

    Day 16 – Discover Whistler
    You have 3 options to choose from to help you enjoy Whistler to its fullest today.

    • Option 1: Whistler Salmon Bake Tour by Jeep or ATV
    Prepare for a unique dining experience at the Crystal Hut with a Canadian salmon bake. Climb 6,000ft up Blackcomb Mountain to the most spectacular patio in Whistler in either an ATV or a Jeep. Relax and enjoy live entertainment as your chef prepares a cedar-planked, maple glazed wild BC Salmon – a Canadian classic.

    • Option 1: Lil’Wat Cultural Centre and PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola
    This combo package gains you access to the Lil’Wat Culture Centre, where you can learn of the indigenous peoples of the region. Discover the meaning behind legends, carvings, art, song, and ceremonies. Later in the day, ride on the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola. The gondola allows access to 50 kms of hiking trails.

    • Option 2: Scandinave Spa
    Escape to the Scandinave Spa, the perfect destination to relax after a morning of exploring.     Will it be cold when I visit Canada in summer?

    The temperature varies from mild to hot, depending on location. Northern Canada will range between 50°F to 64°F (10°C – 18°C) in summer. The interior of BC, prairies, Ontario and Quebec can reach temperatures around 95°F (35°C). Canada's west coast, mountain regions, and Maritimes enjoy milder summer temperatures. They range on average from 59°F to 77°F (15°C – 25°C).
