What are the best ways to travel around Canada on my vacation

Canada has a network of spectacular roadways, train routes, ferry crossings, and float planes. We can arrange for you to travel by car or to sit back and relax.

Is it safe to drive in the mountains?

New visitors will drive with ease because of the wide and well maintained roadways. We'll ensure your trip includes the most spectacular and safest routes throughout your trip.

That depends on the destination and type. As a rule, the main feeding and migration seasons are best for wildlife experiences. Tell us which animals interest you and we'll make your trip coincide with the best viewing season.

    Are your tours escorted?

Everything went smoothly and all of our chauffeurs and tour guides were on time and professional. Vancouver, Kamloops and The Rocky Mountaineer were terrific. So much good food! We loved each stop in the Rockies - especially Canada Day in Banff. The long delays on the VIA Rail were no problem for us. We enjoy train travel and the dome car and prestige class made the experience such a privilege. We loved the vast canola fields. Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City had so much to offer! Halifax and Peggy's Cove capped off a most memorable tour. It's very hard to pick just one favorite!

Your team was very personal and professional. They are great with attention to detail. We couldn't be happier. We enjoyed all the cities, the beauty of the countryside and the people we interacted with. The people on our trip were fun and interesting. The two food tours we took in Montreal and Quebec City were outstanding. The tour guides were versed in both food and history.

We had a fantastic time and greatly appreciate the assistance you provided. The itinerary you devised was spot-on for our needs. I also need to thank you again for facilitating all the changes we had to make when we changed from February to April. The locations of the hotels you booked for us in the various cities was absolutely perfect and they were very comfortable and generally the rooms were on the large side, which was great. We have mentioned Fresh Tracks to a number of friends and we frequently mentioned your company whilst we were travelling and we're happy to recommend your services to anyone who intends visiting Canada. You never know, we may be in contact in the future to do something a bit different in Canada! Once again thanks for all your help!

It was our trip of a lifetime

The trip across Canada was amazing. It was our trip of a lifetime. Everything was so well planned by you and your company. There were a few things that went wrong but those things were the airlines fault. Also I wanted to mention another incident that I caused which had me in a panic. We boarded a Sundog Tour bus in Jasper to the Icefield Parkway tour to Banff. We stopped at Lake Louise, The Fairmont Chateau. We looked through the Chateau and the shops and looked at Lake Louise, then we went on the Banff. When I reached in for my wallet to give the tour guide, Grauden Pike a tip, I did not have my wallet. I had left it in the restroom at the Chateau. Grauden said that he was going back by the Chateau the next day and he would look for it. I called the Chateau and they referred me to the housekeeping lost and found, which they said no one had turned a wallet in. I feared the worst, thinking about all the money, credit cards and drivers license that were all gone. Grauden Pike called the next day and he had asked the front desk at the Chateau and someone had turned it in to the front desk and they had put it in the safe. I instructed them to give it to Grauden because he said there was another tour guide coming back into Banff and he would leave it at the bus station in Banff. We went to the bus station in Banff and picked up the wallet and everything was in the wallet. Not anything was missing. So many wonderful, honest people were looking out for a stranger. I can't thank them enough. I wish you could contact Sundog Tours on my behalf and tell them how Grauden Pike helped a stranger out. He deserves some recognition for going beyond the call of duty to help a customer out.
