    Day 1 – Arrive in Vancouver
    One of the most beautiful cities in the world, Vancouver is surrounded by towering mountains and sparkling ocean. From the very beginning, we ensure your vacation is off to the best start! Walk out of the airport and right into your own personal private vehicle. Your driver will help orient you to our hometown, Vancouver!

    Day 2 – Explore Vancouver and VIA Rail’s Canadian Train to Jasper
    You have 3 options to choose from today to help you enjoy Vancouver and its surrounding area to its fullest.

    • Option 1: Vancouver by Bicycle
    You’re not one to travel along with the tourist crowd, and prefer to slip into life like a local. This tour delivers exactly that – the bike is a Vancouverites preferred mode of transport! With an extensive cycle lane network this tour travels along AAA bike paths. The tour highlights the best of Vancouver food, history, ecology and culture. Visit the seawall and Stanley Park, eat lunch at Granville Island Public Market and see historic Gastown and Chinatown.

    • Option 2: Discovery Tour in Stanley Park & Vancouver Aquarium Admission
    An enriching cultural option for those interested in First Nations History. Participate in this tour to experience a unique perspective on Trip Advisors number one rated park. After your tour, visit Canada’s largest aquarium, the Vancouver Aquarium.     • Option 3: Grouse Mountain and Zipline
    Located 15 minutes from downtown, Grouse Mountain offers the perfect destination for a truly rewarding and memorable experience. Once up the mountain you’ll have access to the Lumberjack shows, ‘Birds in Motion’ demonstrations, ranger talks at the ‘Bear Habitat’ and more. Your Grouse experience includes a zipline on a dual line course. The zipline experience will give you a unique perspective of Grouse Mountain, combining heart-pounding thrills with an exploration of BC’s old-growth forests.

    Climb aboard the ‘Canadian’, Canada’s most famous train, the route links Vancouver and Jasper using original steel rail cars from the 1950’s. Vancouver to Jasper is the most spectacular stretch of the whole journey. The train crosses the arable land of the Fraser Valley, travels northeast through the British Columbia interior, passing the Lac Du Bois and Wells Grey Provincial parks before ascending the Canadian Rockies and arriving in Jasper National Park the following day. Overnight on board the train in your private cabin.


    Day 3 – Heart of the Canadian Rockies – Arrive in Jasper
    Arrive into the Canadian Rockies this afternoon. Pick up a rental car to begin your exploration of the Canadian Rockies. Jasper is the gentle giant of the Rockies, offering visitors a laid-back mountain experience with equal options for adventure, discovery and relaxation. As one of Canada’s oldest and largest national parks, established in 1907, Jasper was once seen as an island of civilization in a vast wilderness. More recently, it has become a popular getaway from urban life, and a special place to reconnect with nature. Jasper will give you that breathing room to relax and enjoy the best of this natural playground.

    • Dark Sky Preserve Experience
    As the world’s largest dark sky preserve in Canada Jasper is home to the ideal conditions for astronomical viewing. This evening you will tour this dark sky preserve in a air-supported 35-seat dome theatre. Your astronomy guide will take you through the legends of “Canadian” First Nations constellations, a meteor shower and the northern lights. After your time inside you’ll take a guided tour of planets, moons, stars and galaxies – all through the largest telescope in the Rockies (weather dependent).

    Day 4 – In the Canadian Wilderness – Jasper and Surrounding Area
    Spend the day exploring the Jewel of the Rockies, Jasper. You have 3 options to choose from today to help you enjoy Jasper to its fullest.

    • Option 1: Nature Walk
    Drink in the sights, smells and sounds of nature on this professionally guided interpretive walk through Jasper National Park. Enjoy a leisurely pace, and plenty of time for photos and discussion. See wildlife, admire rare alpine wildflowers, and magnificent valley views.

    • Option 2: Jasper SkyTram Admission and Maligne Lake Cruise
    You will experience two of Jaspers most iconic attractions today! One will take you into the air to the summit of Whistlers Mountain and the other will have you gliding across the pristine waters of Maligne Lake. Both will leave you breathless at the majesty of Canada’s gentle giant of the Rockies.

    • Option 3: Sidecar Motorcycle Tour
    A sightseeing tour unlike any other for 1 or 2 passengers. From the freedom of the sidecar of a powerful Harley Davidson touring motorcycle - view famous lakes, historical viewpoints and attractions of the Jasper Area.

    Day 5 – The Icefields Parkway – Jasper to Banff
    Drive along the spine of the Rockies, on what is surely one of the most beautiful roads in the world - the Icefields Parkway.

    • Option 1: Icewalk on the Athabasca Glacier
    Walk along the largest mass of ice in the Rocky Mountains - the Columbia Icefields. The most accessible part of the Icefields is the Athabasca Glacier - spreading six kilometers towards the Icefields Parkway. Join an experienced guide and small group of adventurers on a once in a lifetime experience as you hike along the glacier - stand in awe of a place few people get to see firsthand.

    • Option 2: Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure Package
    Your adventure begins with a ride onto the surface of the Athabasca Glacier in the all-terrain Ice Explorer – a vehicle specially designed for glacier travel. Your tour includes a stop on the glacier, where you can stop onto the ice and fill your water bottle with fresh glacier water. Your package includes the jaw-dropping walk along the glass-floored Glacier Skywalk at the cliff’s edge. Experience waterfalls, wildlife, fossils and more on this exciting 1-kilometre cliff-edged walkway that leads to a platform where glass is all that separates you from a 918-foot drop.

    • Option 1: Cowboy Cookout
    Enjoy the mountain air on your trail ride along the base of Sulpher Mountain, be sure to keep an eye out for wildlife, as you ride towards your delicious BBQ meal. Relax trail side as your cowboy guides prepare your BBQ feast and treat you to genuine western hospitality. Your day comes full circle as you ride back along Sulphur Mountain Trail and a climb up and around the Windy Knoll, where dazzling views of the sky-piercing mountains await.

    • Option 2: Hike in Sunshine Meadows
    Spend your day on top of the world and away from the crowds at Sunshine Meadows, widely known as the most stunning alpine setting in the Canadian Rockies. Your guide will take you along the network of gentle trails that wind their way around the meadows.

    • Option 3: Via Ferrata
    Step out of your comfort zone and spend 2.5 hours testing your limits! Your guide will begin your day with an introduction to the equipment, before heading up into the mountains. This is a great introduction into the world of Via Ferrata.

    Much too soon you leave the fresh air and colorful sights of the Rockies as your Canadian train trip comes to an end.

    Will it be cold when I visit Canada in summer?

    The temperature varies from mild to hot, depending on location. Northern Canada will range between 50°F to 64°F (10°C – 18°C) in summer. The interior of BC, prairies, Ontario and Quebec can reach temperatures around 95°F (35°C). Canada's west coast, mountain regions, and Maritimes enjoy milder summer temperatures. They range on average from 59°F to 77°F (15°C – 25°C).
