“ We loved the incredible grandeur and beauty of the Rockies. We were expecting it, yet were still surprised. We wondered if Canadians who live up there ever become immune to the grandeur right outside their doors. The stretch of the Icefields Parkway between Banff and the Ice Field was almost like being on another planet. We are great car-tourists so this was right up our alley. ”

Day 1 – Arrive in Vancouver – Your Journey Begins
Vancouver is considered one of the most beautiful and livable places in the world. It is a vibrant and energetic city with a picturesque harbor surrounded by mountains and ocean. Your driver will meet you at the Vancouver International Airport to take you to the train station for your evening departure. Before your train leaves you will have some time to explore Vancouver.
Check out the quirky independent shops and galleries, dine in one of the local cafes or restaurants or take a walk through the forests of Stanley Park. If you want to see the city on a guided tour, just let us know and we can arrange it.
In the evening, you will board “The Canadian”, which is the most famous train in Canada. It has been transporting travellers from Vancouver to Jasper since the 1950s, when it operated with original steel rail cars. The stretch of track between Vancouver and Jasper offers some of the most stunning scenery in North America, as it crosses the fertile Fraser Valley and the dry British Columbia interior before climbing into the snowcapped peaks of the Canadian Rockies and then carrying you to Jasper National Park.
Day 2 – Arrive in Jasper
Step off the train in Jasper and breathe in the crisp pine-scented air as you gaze at the enormous mountains that surround the town. Jasper is nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies and it is the perfect jumping off point for outdoor adventures in Jasper National Park, which is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend the afternoon exploring here and discovering the friendly, relaxed vibe of this quiet mountain town.

It was beyond fabulousJuly 20, 2017
William & family, GA, USA
“ It was beyond fabulous. We always enjoy traveling with our 2 kids and their friends, but this was very special. And whether it was specifically intended, or just luck-of-the-draw, we had the Sun Dog and Brewster tour buses to ourselves, which was great to be able to talk and ask questions without disturbing other. And the tour guides were so good and interesting and knowledgeable. Fresh Tracks Canada couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. I vote 10 out of 5 stars! ”

Alycia, IN, USA
“ The trip was wonderful! My favorite things were the train ride and my time in Banff, definitely not long enough. Will certainly look to spend more time there again some day. I have certainly mentioned your company to anyone that asked as you certainly made my life much easier. Thanks again for a great adventure. ”
The scenic views were nearly sensory overloadJune 6, 2015
Gary & Colleen, MO, USA
“ First let say that you were a great help in preparing for our trip. The scenic views were nearly sensory overload. The Athabasca falls was beautiful. For us the highlight of the tour was being able to walk on the Athabasca glacier and to drink the water from a melting glacier. These were once in a life time, bucket list events. We had a great time in Canada and everyone we meet was helpful and attentive to our needs. ”

Hope to book with you again in the futureMay 19, 2015
Connie, FL, USA
“ Our trip was FABULOUS.The hotels were beautiful, and as for the tours and the train....that was sensational! The Banff Gondola was wonderful and we added the Glacier Skywalk as well. The tour guides were all very knowledgeable and considerate of the ages of my group participants and took very good care of all. We had a wonderful time. The train portion was lovely and the scenery was GORGEOUS snowcapped mountains and frozen lakes as far as your eyes could see. Lake Louise looked very different from the last time I saw it as it was turquoise in color, and this time it was snow covered and beautiful sunshine. We were also very fortunate to see many bears, deers, big horned sheep, etc. When we continued on with our cruise, we did dogsledding, whale watching and much much more. Thanks for everything. Hope to book with you again in the future. ”
Everything went so smoothly from start to finish!May 11, 2015
Caroline, WA, USA
“ Wow! We had an amazing trip! Everything went so smoothly from start to finish! The train trip was excellent, the cabins for 1 were just perfect. The only slight hiccup was that our three cabins were in different carriages! The train staff managed to move Mum and Dad so that their cabins were in the same carriage which helped. The breakfast and lunch on the train were first class! The hotel in Jasper was perfect. Mum and Dad's room was delightful and it had a balcony! The basket of treats and goodies waiting for them in the room was such a special touch, thank you so very much for that thoughtfulness. The road trip from Jasper to Banff was spectacular. The guide could not have been more pleasant and interesting. The Ice walk was thrilling and Lake Louise beautiful, if cold! We even saw a bear on our journey! Our two room suite at the hotel in Banff was just right. Thank you for suggesting that. I spent a very happy hour at the "cave" hot springs! We enjoyed the tour of Banff (with hot chocolate and cookies!) and the Gondola ride, despite the weather (snow and hail so very limited view). At 12:30pm, right on time a car arrived to take us to Calgary to catch our flight home. We spent that morning shopping in Banff (the Roam bus stop was right outside the hotel, perfect!) All in all a fantastic trip. Amazing scenery and perfectly planned for us! Thank you! ”
Fiona made it all fit!August 1, 2014
Maxine, Jeff, Carolyn & Steven, FL, USA
“ From the very first phone call, Fiona was remarkable at finding out what I wanted to do, even though I didn't know what there was to do, and then guiding me to a number of sites to view the elements of travel that she was suggesting. Professional, sweet, personable, funny, caring and helpful are just a few of the many adjectives I use when thinking of her. She worked within my budget, even when what I wanted to do was not within my budget, or my time frame. She made it all fit! Then I had the pleasure of working with Sarah who glued all the parts together. There was never even one moment where I was waiting for someone to get me from point A to point B. Every tour person, every bus driver, every hotel and train accommodation was exactly as she said it would be. Every tour and hotel person was knowledgeable, personable and helpful. Our tours were comprehensive and exciting. Our guides gave us plenty of time at each venue and suggested restaurants and activities that they thought we would enjoy. I could go on and on about these two awesome women. I will add that everyone else in your office that I spoke with was just as friendly and helpful. Fiona and Sarah are the best, and I don't say that lightly. I am a travel agent, myself, and if I had an office in Canada I would try to steal them away from you! ”
The afternoon helicopter flight was worth a trip to Canada alone!April 12, 2014
Phil & Tip, CA, USA
“ From the very first contact with Fresh Tracks Canada, until the final day of our Canadian holiday we were totally inspired with the service, the trip and all of the many details of our special days. Thank you. The detailed information we received answered all our questions. We arrived in Banff to beautiful clear weather - blue skies and clean, crisp temps. The Fairmont Hotel was a delight to stay in with our room at the "top" overlooking a view of the courtyard with a background of snow-covered mountains beyond. On the first three hour tour we were lucky to see about 20 heads of mountain goats surrounding our bus within a few feet of us... just friendly as they could be. The afternoon helicopter flight was worth a trip to Canada alone! Beautiful clear weather. Words could not describe the feeling we got flying over the Three Sisters mountain. Absolutely incredible. Another day and yet more breathtaking scenery along the Ice Road to Jasper. I'm now out of words to describe. Thank you again for our wonderful Canada adventure. ”

Ulla & Nova, NSW, Australia
“ Thank you for making our vacation one we will not forget in a very long time. It was truly amazing. Your professional and friendly help in putting together such a perfect package is very much appreciated. We will remember to recommend you to our friends and acquaintances who may be considering travelling to beautiful Canada. Between my daughter and me, we took over 3,000 photos - this says it all! The vacation was indeed more than we could have hoped for, good weather, magnificent scenery, excellent accommodation choices, plenty of wildlife sightings, all in all, just perfect. ”
Fresh Tracks Canada did us proudJune 17, 2013
John & Judith, UK
“ We have arrived back in the UK, having benefited greatly from our week off in Canada. Thank you so much for all your efforts to keep us going, and to give us a good holiday. You were a model of flexibility, when things changed unexpectedly at the last moment. Our only regret was not to have seen more of Vancouver, which seemed like such a lovely city. But otherwise we got the full flavour of the Rockies and Alberta, and we really appreciated that. A big, big thank you for all the work you put in, and for keeping calm! Fresh Tracks Canada did us proud. ”
